Might not sound like a huge margin, but start sending a lot of rounds downrange it adds up. At 25₵ a round, 1,000 rounds of 9mm runs you $250; at 35₵ per round, 10mm will run you $350 for the same.

A lot of ftf with a 1911 is from limp wristing. Firm hold on the pistol will eliminate that. Glock is a whole other animal. Really comes down to trigger types for me. Do you want the smooth single action pull of the 1911 vs the glock trigger. Both are fine choices. A possible 3rd candidate is a CZ75.

A "tactical" model exists with a rail as well. The gun comes with two 16 round magazines, and stock mags are expensive. Luckily, Rock Island uses Para pattern magazines and these will work with the affordable, but quality Mec Gar P16 40 S&W magazines..
